On December 17, CodeBoxx Academy is hosting a public webinar called “Vibe Coding,” a hands-on introduction to building real software with AI tools like Lovable. The session is open to all ages and experience levels and is the first major activation of CodeBoxx’s new partnership with the University of South Florida’s Office of Corporate Training and Professional Education (CTPE).

The story is timely for two reasons that are shaping the region’s tech trajectory:
Tampa Bay’s ongoing talent flight
Graduates and skilled workers still leave the region for cities like Austin, Atlanta, and New York because they don’t see a clear on-ramp into high-growth tech roles locally. The CodeBoxx–USF partnership creates an accessible, practical pathway into the innovation economy, designed for recent grads, career changers, and working adults who want to stay rooted in Tampa Bay.
Vibe coding as a quality-of-life skill
Vibe coding removes traditional computer science barriers and gives people real “tools in the toolbox” to advance into flexible, higher-paying, future-proof careers. The webinar teaches attendees how to generate full websites or apps from natural language prompts, customize AI-generated code, and leave with a working prototype in under an hour. CodeBoxx expects around one thousand participants, including first-time builders and creative professionals.
